The National Executive Committee and the Management of the AFC Leopards convey their heartfelt condolences to the ole Magelo family on the untimely demise of its former Chairman, Mr. Alex ole Magelo, who died on May 7, 2021, in Nairobi.
Mr Magelo was elected the Club chairman in 2008 and played a pivotal role in ensuring that we gained promotion back to the Kenya Premier League at the end of the same year. He stepped down at the end of 2009 and was again re-elected as the chairman in March 2011 and served the club diligently until he stepped down once again in 2012.
As Chairman, the Ingwe agenda was always on his priority list. He stood for the growth of the Club and did so much to ensure that the club remained among the best in the country and regionally. We have lost a great contributor to the Kenyan game and this is a big loss not only to AFC Leopards but to the entire football fraternity at large.
At the time of his passing, he was a registered and active member of the Loresho Branch.
The Club mourns his passing with a very deep grief.
May his soul rest in everlasting peace.
