AFC Leopards registered a 2-1 win over Posta Rangers in a Kenyan Premier League fixture played at Kenyatta Stadium on September 15th, 2018
Brace hero Alex Orotomal put Leopards in front in the 14th minute when he rose high to head in after a fine cross from Brian Marita. Posta Rangers first real chance came in the 21st minute but skipper Jerry Santos failed to convert from close range.
It was until the 32nd minute that Postal Rangers levelled the matters from Gershon Likono who slotted past goal keeper Ezekiel Owade after a defensive lapse the Leopards defense.
The game went in to the break level with the visitors being dominant in the latter stages of the first half. In the second half Leopards were the better side and this was evident through Oburu’s 55th minute shot from outside the box which flew wide after Brian Marita beat Titus Achesa to deliver a cross that Oburu sent out.
The game looked like it was destined for a draw despite AFC Leopards dominance but Alex Orotomal grabbed his second in the 85th minute after hard work from the left flank firing a fierce shot from outside the box which the Postal Rangers shot stopper failed to deal with.
Leopards held on to win the game grabbing the maximum three points, the win ensures that Leopards cement third position on the log with 51 points from 30 rounds.
Rodolfo Zapata men will now embark on preparations for the next league match against Kariobangi Sharks on Tuesday 18th September before gearing up for the Shield Cup semifinal against Sofapaka FC 5 days later in Machakos.
