Newly promoted side Nakumatt beat AFC Leopards by a solitary goal in a friendly match played on Saturday at Machakos County Stadium.
Former Ingwe striker Kepha Aswani was the hero with a stunning goal in the 42nd minute from Peter Nzuki’s cross. AFC Leopards were out to redeem themselves after falling to National Super League side Nairobi City Stars on Thursday and head coach Stewart Hall named a strong team for the Nakumatt match.
The Shoppers also wanted to prove their worth lining up four former AFC Leopards players including Aswani, Eugene Ambulwa, Cresten Mwanzo and Charles Bruno, who were really instrumental in the match.
