Utility player Collins Shichenje sustained ankle and shin injuries during the team’s last league match against Gor Mahia, Dr Patrick Ngusale, the club doctor, has confirmed.
Dr Ngusale also revealed that the X-ray done on the midfielder showed that there was no fracture confirming that it was just soft tissue injuries.
“We did an X-ray on Collins and diagnosed soft tissue injuries on his ankle and shin. He is currently on analgesics and physiotherapy. He will not be able to take part in training and we will continue to monitor his progress. We will give you further details later,” he told www.afcleopards.co.ke
Shichenje was stretchered off in the first of the feisty match and is set to miss a number of team’s upcoming league matches.
Ingwe will play Bandari next week on Thursday at Mbaraki Stadium, Mombasa.
