AFC Leopards will kick off their 2019/2020 FKF Shield Cup, now renamed Betway Cup, campaign against the winner of the tie between non-league sides Elim and Kusco.
The fixtures were announced on Tuesday morning by FKF President Nick Mwendwa at a function attended by Betway executives and other football stakeholders.
48 clubs entered the competition, with Kenyan Premier League and National Super League clubs getting a bye from the first round of action.
Mwendwa lauded the betting company for supporting Kenyan football while Betway chairman Kiprono Kittony reiterated the company’s commitment to supporting local athletes and their commitment to developing community sports in Kenya.
Ingwe last won this tournament, the oldest in the country, in 2017 beating Kariobangi Sharks 2-0. This was their tenth Cup victory since it was launched in 1956. However, the boys were stopped in the third round by a sturdy Bungoma United side last season.
