Captain Martin Imbalambala feels that getting four points from Gor Mahia serves as a morale booster for the team ahead of upcoming fixtures. Imbalambala who scored the equalizer for Leopards in the 81st minute said: “When you play a derby, you must expect any result. Playing at this level means that the margins are so tight and we have to appreciate this result.

“We have endured torrid times in the recent past but a win against City Stars and the draw against Gor Mahia makes us have self belief as we try to turn the season around.

“ Gor Mahia are a good side and could have beaten us. My goal may have been a lucky pick but at times you need to be lucky to get a result. We had to fight our hearts out for that performance and I am glad we came out atleast with something.

“I think fans will agree that yesterday(Sunday’s)performance level was incredible and we tried our best. They should continue rallying behind the team and for sure good things will come in the end. “

“Imbalambala’s goal was his first of the season and his first in the derby.
