Ronald Sichenje was born in Webuye, Kakamega county on 19 July 2002. He went to Webuye primary school after which he joined Kakamega High School, a renowned football powerhouse. While at school he attracted interest from Qatar Based Aspire academy. He would later the Academy . After some short stints with the Aspire Academy , Roonie joined AFC Leopards where he made his debut in the 2023/24 season.

He has featured for the National team Under-18 and Under 20 sides.
