Lewis Esambe Bandi was born in Nairobi County  on 1^st December 2002. He was raised in Hamza Makadara where he also started horning his footballing skills . Makadara Junior League (MJL) is where his football journey started. He went to school at Nairobi’s Eastleigh High School . Bandi has played for Makadara Junior League , Makadara’s Hakati FC and Jericho All Stars before moving to AFC Leopards Youth Team where he featured in the KPL U-20 tournament. He was promoted to the senior team in 2020 under coach Tomas Trucha and Anthony Kimani on 13^th October 2020 and made his debut in a FKF PL match against KCB FC on 17^th Jan 2021 at Kasarani. With his versatility, Lewis has managed to play as a left back ,right back and midfielder under the tutelage of coach Parick Aussems.

Interestingly ,Lewis also played basketball back then in high school at Machakos.
