Humphrey Katasi was born in the agriculture rich Kitale, Trans Nzoia County on 24^th July 1999 . He started his goalkeeping journey at Limuru Youth Sports Association(LYSPA) for Under-10 and Under-15  categories. He later joined Aspire Academy in 2013. The  St Anthony’s High School, Kitale alumni  joined Nzoia Sugar FC for three seasons before making a move to AFC Leopards.

Some of the achievements under his name include : The year 2013 joining Aspire Academy in Qatar, playing for the Kenya Under-20 side against Rwanda in the AFCON qualifiers and playing in friendly matches against Senegal and Egypt. Katasi won the 2022/2023 golden gloves while at Nzoia Sugar FC managing 17 clean sheets.
