Ingwe will be seeking to end a worse run that has seen them play eight matches without a win as they face Thika United
AFC Leopards have gone eight matches without a win and as they face tricky Thika United at Mumias Complex, the Leopard knows that anything but a win will once again irk the fans, who have been frustrated.
The last time these teams met in the first leg, Samuel Mwanje and Eugine Mukangula scored a goal each to cancel out Kepha Aswani’s opener. The Ivan Minnaert’s charges have conceded seventeen goals, two more than the total goals they have scored, making their defense fourth worst in the top tier, and that explains why they are currently placed in the 13th position with 17 points.
The milkmen have a worse run, they are a place down after conceding the same number of goals as their opponents, but scored just thirteen. It is a match both teams desperately need to win, but unfortunately, one has to smile at the end of the day.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
AFC Leopards: Captain Bernard Mang’oli made his return against Chemelil Sugar last weekend and was unfortunate to see his side lose. It will be important if he manages to help the team register a win on Saturday with his clever runs and incisive passes.
Yusuf Suf is another player, who showed glimpses of brilliance and he will want to endear himself to the fans by another exemplary performance.
Thika United: Eugine Mukangula is a player, who Leopards’ fans hate to remember after his winner in the second leg. He was on target against Gor Mahia last weekend and he will want to get another one against Ingwe.
Ugandan Martin Elung’at started in between the posts against Gor Mahia but was unfortunate to concede two. Against Leopards, he will definitely want to keep a clean sheet and help his team get something positive.
