Skipper Martin Imbalambala has asked fans to rally behind the team as they did during the derby and when they were taking part in the CECAFA Nile Basin Tournament.

“In the tournament, we had no pressure. We bonded as a team and the technical team harnessed the unity as we rallied without the usual large numbers of our fans,” the skipper spoke after the win against Gor Mahia.

“ I do not mean to say that we play under pressure from our fans, only that we appreciate their support and that keeps us going.”

The skipper however sent a word of caution to both the fans and the team asking for a patient approach and avoid getting carried away.

“We have to avoid getting carried away, even the fans have to be patient. The changes in the team are beginning to bear fruit but we have to focus on the task ahead. The good run in Sudan is behind us and we have to focus on the league and other matches ahead.”
