It is now official that AFC Leopards polls will be conducted in late July with the exact date already determined.

According to a letter obtained by Goal from club’s Electoral Board on elections’ program, the exercise will be conducted on July 24, Sunday, at the Bomas of Kenya with 30 candidates awaiting clearance to vie for various positions.

“The AFC Leopards Electoral Board has received nomination forms from 30 persons aspiring to be elected as club officials. The national election is scheduled to be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Bomas of Kenya,” the letter read in part.

However, the aspirants will be subjected to a thorough vetting process set to run between July 4 (Monday) and July 8 (Friday). “The candidates shall be cleared to vie for respective posts after going through vetting process to be carried out in the week of July 4 to July 8, 2016, at NSSF Building, 24th Floor, Sports Dispute Tribunal Boardroom.

“During the same period the membership list will also be verified.”

List of prospective candidates for selected posts: Chairman: Daniel Mule, Robert Asembo, Mathews Opwora, Maurice Amahwa, Vice Chairman: Lawrence Ngacha, Joshua Asige, Felix Shitsama, Secretary General: Doughlas Simiyu, Oscar Igaida and Ronald Namai.
