Dennis Dodi has expressed that he is learning a lot by being part of the AFC Leopards family and relishes the challenge to break into the first team.
The young striker joined AFC Leopards in 2013 after his excellent performances for the U-19 team and was elevated to the senior squad in January.
“I was surprised to join the team earlier in the year. It came as a surprise to join the senior team in such a short time but I was very happy to have my skills appreciated,” he said.
He also shared his experience as young player competing with the senior players in the striking department.
“My time will come. I will get my chance to play and score but I have to learn and prove myself daily. The team has so many experienced players. Looking at Kelly, Khamati, Noah and Ikenna, I’m learning a lot daily.”
Dodi was part of the U-19 team last season and will be expected to lead the junior Leopards’ side when the tourney resumes in August.
“I have to be patient. It is my first season and this is AFC Leopards, the best club in Kenyan soccer history. When I get on that field, I will give my best.”
