Last evening, 21st of April 2017, we received official communication from the Football KENYA Federation regarding Vincent Oburu. In its ruling, the Federation punished the player for allegedly double signing by de-registering him for the first leg of the KPL 2017 season. He will however be allowed to be registered in the June window thus he will be available to play for AFC Leopards SC from June 2017.
AFC Leopards beat Wazito FC 6-1 in a friendly match played last Wednesday at Camp Toyoyo ground.
Goals from Ghanaian striker Gilbert Fiamenyo, youngster Marcelus Ingotsi, Whyvonne Isuza and Vincent Oburu handed the Big Cats the sweet victory in a match where Allan Kateregga was also outstanding.

This was AFC Leopards’ fifth friendly match having played against Embu County combined team, Tutu combined team, Kibera Black Stars and Kariobangi Sharks.

AFC Leopards head coach coach Stewart Hall has faulted his side for giving the ball away too much in a friendly match against Posta Rangers on Saturday in Machakos. Leopards settled for a draw against Sammy Omollo's side a friendly match the two sides used to prepare for the 2017 season that kicks off later this month.
AFC Leopards went down 3-2 to newly promoted Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday in a pre-season match played at the Safaricom Stadium, Kasarani. Former Sony Sugar danger man, Masoud Juma bagged a brace for the victors who, took a 2- lead at the break while Salim Abdalla "Shittu" and Ghanaian Gilbert Fiamenyo replied for Ingwe.
Ovella Ochieng capitalised on Ian Otieno's error picking a back pass before firing into the bottom right corner for what proved to be the winner.
Prior to this encounter, Ingwe beat Embu County County, Tetu Combined and Black Stars 3-0, 5-0, 3-0 respectively.
